They even gave me wrong contact number and did not even enter the missing baggage report in their system till forced by me at midnight after delay of seven hours. (a) Air Vistara Bengaluru Staff was most irresponsible and negligent in their duties. But my experience revealed the following :. I am narrating this since like most Indians, I have the highest regard for Mr Ratan Tata and expect that his ethics will be respected by his airlines staff. This time Mr Bhatia had to sheepishly agree and he emailed that a compensation of Rs 2000 will be given to me (this when I had spent approx Rs 5000 for repeated to and fro travels to Bengaluru airport by taxi on 18-19 Feb, another Rs 5000/- for essential one set of clothes and toiletries required on 19th morning plus the unimaginable tension which I went through).ħ. Mr Bhatia replied to me on that compensation cannot be given as “Bag was stuck at Airport Security due to objectionable item”. This was a blatant lie and I then emailed the luggage manifest of Delhi Airport for my Suitcase of which showed that bag X Ray screening “Green” and duly loaded in aircraft. I then emailed my complaint to Mr Hari Bhatia, Nodal Officer Tata SIA Airlines on. My joy of attending the marriage functions had already been ruinedĦ Subsequently, based on the advice of Vistara Bengaluru staff, I emailed a compensation claim to customer relations on. On my query, it became evident that the staff had not even checked the CCTV footage to trace the missing baggage. Finally, I succeeded in my continuous attempts and baggage was finally traced and collected from airport on AN. Next morning, I continuously followed the progress telephonically but found the Air Vistara staff non cooperative. I then filed a complaint with Customer Service on, Complaint ref TCT202202184984641 and also uploaded the File reference, as above, on Air Vistara site.ĥ. They entered it in their system at around 0030 hours only after my stiff protest and thereafter gave the File Reference BLRUK 10602 generated by the system.Ĥ. I then found to my surprise that Air Vistara staff had not even entered the Property Irregularity Report in their computer system. Meanwhile I had come to know that a 10 digit alphanumeric File reference was required to be given by the airlines to facilitate tracing of missing baggage. I again travelled to airport at around 2330 hrs for collection of baggage since I had to attend marriage functions beginning at 0700 hrs on and all my clothes for the functions were in the Suitcase. I was then told that the baggage had still not arrived. They gave a Vistara Bengaluru contact number in writing which later turned out to be non-existent.ģ. I had to leave the airport around 1830 hrs without baggage and was asked to come later that evening to collect the baggage. When I vehemently objected that there can be no suspicious object, the staff told me that the baggage will arrive by another flight later that evening. After sometime, the Vistara staff claimed that they had found out that the baggage was detained in Delhi for some “Suspicious Object”. However, no File Reference for this report was given to me. I filed the Property Irregularity Report for the missing baggage, as advised by Vistara staff immediately. On arrival in Bangalore at 5 PM 0n, I did not get my checked in Suitcase. I, Lt Gen K K Aggarwal (R), travelled by Vistara airlines from Delhi to Bengaluru by UK 819 (PNR 6X3NV3) on, seat 25 D. SORDID BEHAVIOUR OF AIR VISTARA AFTER MISPLACING MY BAGGAGE
